Quantitative Developer

Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities
  • You will acquire deep knowledge about our inhouse trading system and be involved in every aspect of its development from tiny modules to core functionality. Specific areas of software development that you will be involved in include:
    • Market access (Data feed and OMS)
    • Proprietary libraries
    • Trading strategies
  • Our systems focus on low latency processing and have a highly multithreaded architecture. You will be able to evolve in a captivating technical environment (specific hardware & optimized software design).
  • Tasks are dispatched among members mostly work individually on projects. You need to be independent, persistent and trustworthy in your job.
  • Considering the current limited size of our team in HK, you might also be involved in daily maintenance tasks such as system monitoring and performance measurement.
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of coding experience.
  • Outstanding C/C++ knowledge.
  • Multithreading and asynchronous systems.
  • Interest in innovative technologies (both software and hardware).
  • Good communicational skill in Mandarin.
Preferred additional knowledge and skills
  • Python, R, C#.
  • POSIX standard.
  • Expertise in Linux system (administration, useful tools, command line).
  • C++ code optimization (speed, not throughput).
  • Affinity to derivatives trading.
  • Experience in market exchange data feed/OMS protocol, especially Chinese market.
  • Strong sense of data quality.
  • Experience in data audit, data integration and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial products (specifically developing strategies).
  • Networking (from TCP/UDP protocol to switch configuration).
  • Database (Mysql, SqlServer).

Quantitative Analyst

Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing core algorithms and models leading directly to trading decisions.
  • Work closely with traders to interpret valuations and develop next generation models and analytics.
  • Provide technical and investment analytics support to trading desks.
  • Support research and statistical analyses about securities and commodities.
  • Work closely with other analysts to develop and continuously improve upon mathematical models, and help translate algorithms into code.
Requirements
  • Degree in Statistics/ Computer Science/ Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete high-level, investment-related research.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical modeling skills (i.e. time-series and cross-sectional skills).
  • Proficiency in coding, with experience using statistical packages (e.g. R, Python).
  • Good communicational skill in Mandarin.
Preferred additional knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrated interest in or knowledge of investments, derivatives, asset pricing, empirical anomalies and market micro-structure.
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and Linux.
  • Experience in analyzing large datasets.
  • Prior experience in a quantitative role within a trading environment or experience in a position applying advanced quantitative techniques to solving highly complex data intensive problems.
  • Prior experience with equities, convertible arbitrage, fixed income and/or commodities.
  • Understanding of the modeling of risk and dynamics of linear and non-linear financial products.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting rules and familiarity with global market structure.
  • Familiarity with portfolio construction analytics and some exposure to quantitative portfolio management.

Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Employment Ordinance in both Hong Kong and China.
  • Familiar with different recruiting channels.
  • Maintain high confidentiality as nature of human resources work.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Independent, attentive to details, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skill in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
Preferred additional knowledge and skills
  • With prior HR working experience.
